Get Stronger Every Session
The foundation of training at Worm Gym is the barbell lifts: the squat, deadlift, press and bench press. Most beginners can double their strength in the first few months of serious training.
Lead coach David was once certified as a Starting Strength coach in 2010, and although he did not maintain the certification, most of our coaching methods are based on the ideas laid out in Mark Rippetoe's book, Starting Strength. In short, the workouts are designed to get you progressively stronger over time, not to just make you tired and sweaty without measurable results.
The training is serious, but the environment is friendly for everyone, even if you've never lifted before.

The gym has everything you need as you progress beyond the novice stage, whether your interests are powerlifting, strongman, or just looking and feeling good:

Train With Us
Worm Gym is a private club that trains only a limited number of members. Training times are by appointment, usually during evenings and weekends. Because we are a social club, not a business, fees are on a pay-what-you-like basis with no expectations.
